Student Video Performances are included when you take drum lessons with John at Drumroll.
I have found that working on songs to make them performance ready is a great motivator for many of my students. After selecting a song, we work on it together and then the student practices their part to be ready for a video performance. I edit the video and send it back to them to share with their family and friends.
I have a large selection of graded play along songs to work on for video performances, plus I have drum sheet music for many popular songs for drummers. If my student has a song in mind where there is no sheet music, I can transcribe it for them so that we can get working on it. Contact John and let’s get started on your drumming journey.
Here’s my student Maeve playing a drum cover of Terra Lightfoot’s “No Hurry”. I think she did a great job! Well done Maeve!
Here’s another video performance by Maeve. This time she’s playing a drum cover of Lake Street Dive’s “Good Kisser”.
Here’s a beginner adult student of mine, Roy, who’s been taking lessons for 6 months. Very nice progress, keep practicing!
This is a young student of mine, Deryk, who came to me as a beginner. Here he’s performing a James Brown inspired song called “Cold Pants”. At this point he’d been taking lessons for 10 months. I think he did a great job.
Here’s another video drum performance by Deryk, one of my young students. He’s playing an instrumental cover version of the R&B classic “Respect”. Another fine drumming performance with well under a year of drumming experience.
Here’s a young student of mine, Kriday, playing a Cuban inspired song, “Cuba Mama”. Having my students working on different musical styles, in this case Latin, helps broaden their musical tastes and presents new and different challenges.
